Responsible for managing the drafting and reviewing of contractual documents at SSMC to mainly assist the Research and the Education Shields with their contractual needs under the direction and supervision of the Legal Director.

Key Responsibilities of the role:
Drafting, reviewing, commenting on and negotiating contracts for and on behalf of SSMC, including research, education, services and consultancy agreements with both local and multinational contractors (and liaising with external counsel in relation thereto).
Preparing, formulating and reviewing memoranda regarding contractual issues and interpretation.
Identifying, assessing and managing legal risks related to research, educational and commercial activities.
Advise SSMC on research, education, cyber criminality, intellectual property, corporate and commercial issues.
Advise SSMC on relevant laws and regulations.
Provide legal opinion and consultancy as and when requested.
Participate in cross-functional teams and committees as and when requested by the Legal Director.
Draft policies and participate in the establishment of legal procedures at SSMC under the guidance of the Legal Director.
Qualifications, Certifications and Experience:Required:
Law degree (LL.B., JD, Master or equivalent) from a reputable US/UK/European Law School.
Admission to practice in an internationally recognized jurisdiction.
5-7 years PQE in a top-tier law firm or in-house experience in an entity involved with research (e.g. pharmaceutical company).
Postgraduate degree in Law from an internationally reputable Law School / University.
US/UK/European Bar Exam.
UAE and/or healthcare experience.
