In his multifaceted role, he is the interim program director for the internal medicine residency and critical care fellowship, director of education for residents in the intensive care units (ICUs), and medical director of the supply chain at SSMC. After graduating from King Edward Medical College in Pakistan, Dr. Dara pursued internal medicine and critical care medicine training at Mayo Clinic, USA. His diverse expertise covers mechanical ventilation, clinical research, medical education, simulation in healthcare, and more. He is a certified diplomate of the American Board of Critical Care Medicine and the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Dara is also a member of esteemed organizations like the American College of Physicians (A.C.P.) and the European Society of Intensive Care Medicine (E.S.I.C.M.). Dr. Dara’s dedication extends to academia, where he holds an adjunct clinical professor position at Gulf Medical University, UAE. He has received numerous awards, including Teacher of the Year at Mayo Clinic, and his impactful research contributions are documented in various publications.
