The Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Management at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City (SSMC), Abu Dhabi, in partnership with Mayo Clinic, is a center for perioperative clinical care, pain management, general anesthesia, pediatric and congenital heart anesthesia, cardiothoracic anesthesia, critical care, and regional practice.
SSMC’s Anesthesia Department integrates Mayo Clinic's three shields of Practice, Research and Education into its operating model, making it a premier destination for residency training, opportunities, and clinical training.
Our team of American, Australian and UK board-certified physicians combines expertise from various subspecialties to determine the safest and most effective anesthesia options for each patient’s unique case and condition. In addition, we are equipped to manage complex chronic pain syndromes and acute pain for oncology and palliative care patients.
Care of the Critically Ill Surgical Patient (CCrISP) is a two-day, interactive course, which includes mandatory, pre-course e-learning. It covers the practical skills and knowledge that health care professionals need to effectively care for surgical patients, including those who are deteriorating or at risk of doing so.
