Dr. Hashmi received her medical degree from King Edward Medical School in Pakistan. Upon completing a residency in Internal Medicine, she went on to complete chief residency and specialized with a fellowship in critical care medicine at Mayo Clinic. She is skilled in the field of critical care, demonstrating expertise in diagnosing and treating life threatening conditions in the intensive care unit (ICU) with special interest in sepsis, acute respiratory distress syndrome and post cardiac arrest care. Dr. Hashmi is double board certified in internal medicine and critical care medicine and holds a membership in both the American College of Chest Physicians and the Society of Critical Care Medicine. She is a dedicated educator and involved in actively teaching residents during their ICU rotations. Furthermore, she is the liaison between the Internal Medicine Residency training program and the ICU, actively engaged in mentoring and developing clinical competency. She is committed to improving patient care and participates in various quality improvement and guideline development committees.
