Prior to joining SSMC, Dr. Roman worked as a Consultant Neurologist and the Lead of Neurophysiology and Epileptology at Mediclinic City Hospital in Dubai.

Before moving to the UAE in June 2021, he was the Lead of the EEG video monitoring unit and the Deputy Head of Vogtareuth Epilepsy Center in Bavaria, one of the leading epilepsy centers in Germany. His expertise in this field includes the early diagnosis and treatment of all types of epilepsy and other episodic non-epileptic attacks, such as syncope, sleep disorders, dissociative disorders, and movement disorders. Additionally, he served as the Head of the Multiple Sclerosis program and as the Clinical Supervisor of the Cerebrospinal Fluid (CSF) laboratory at the same center. He has advanced skills in diagnosing and treating various pain disorders, such as migraines, other types of headaches, back pain, and peripheral nerve pain, due to his extensive experience working at the accredited pain center in Vogtareuth, Germany for many years. Dr. Roman’s clinical expertise also includes the diagnosis and treatment of stroke, dizziness, Alzheimer’s disease, and other neurological disorders. He is a member of several international neuroscience societies. Dr. Roman has obtained numerous high-level certifications and qualifications in the fields of epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, stroke, cerebrospinal fluid analysis, ultrasound diagnosis, and neurophysiology from Germany.
