Sheikh Shakhbout bin Sultan Al Nahyan served as the Ruler of Abu Dhabi from 1928 to 1966. His reign witnessed many local, regional and colloquial events, as he oversaw the remarkable growth of the Emirate. During this period, many government departments and institutions were established, laying the foundation for Abu Dhabi’s future prosperity.

With a focus on addressing capacity challenges and enhancing the quality of healthcare services, the 3.2 million square-foot, 660-bed facility is situated in an accessible location. It features 18 advanced operating theatres, more than 146 critical beds, and includes a specialised 26-bed neonatal intensive care unit (NICU).

Care of the Critically Ill Surgical Patient (CCrISP) is a two-day, interactive course, which includes mandatory, pre-course e-learning. It covers the practical skills and knowledge that health care professionals need to effectively care for surgical patients, including those who are deteriorating or at risk of doing so.
