Dr. Salwa Al Kaabi, M.B.B.S., M.R.C.P.C.H., C.B.P., is a Consultant Paediatrician with the Department of Paediatrics at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City (SSMC) in Abu Dhabi.

Dr. Al Kaabi is dedicated to medical education and leadership development, having served as Program Director of the Paediatric Residency Program from 2019 to 2025 following her earlier role as Associate Program Director. She has chaired and contributed to multiple committees including the Curriculum, Mock Code, Research, Clinical Competency and Program Evaluation Committees.

She earned her medical degree from the College of Medicine and Health Sciences at United Arab Emirates University (2008). Dr. Al Kaabi began her clinical career as an intern at Al Qassimi Hospital (2009) and completed her Paediatric Residency at Tawam Hospital (2014). She later pursued advanced training through the Sheikha Salama Foundation Fellowship in Early Childhood Development in collaboration with Yale University.

Dr. Al Kaabi actively participates in research, quality improvement projects, and postgraduate medical education. She has presented her work at national and international conferences and published in peer-reviewed journals. Her commitment to academic excellence and mentorship has earned her multiple awards for leadership and contributions to paediatric education.
