Professor Dr. Guido Ehrenfried Pieles, F.R.C.P.C.H., M.D., Ph.D, D.Phil, M.Sc.H.E, is the lead Consultant Paediatric and Adult Congenital Cardiologist and Sports Cardiologist with the Department of Cardiology at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City in Abu Dhabi.

Dr. Pieles is internationally recognised for his expertise in sports cardiology, congenital heart disease, and inherited cardiac conditions in both paediatric and adult athletes. He has led elite sports cardiology programmes for Fifa World Cup 2022, Manchester United FC, and is advisor to many top European clubs and sports organisations. He led the Aspetar Sports Medicine Hospital in Qatar, providing clinical care, research, and programme development.
