Dr. Ahmed Asim Nayeem, F.R.C.E.M., M.R.C.E.M., M.R.C.S., F.F.S.E.M., is an emergency medicine consultant at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City (SSMC) in Abu Dhabi.
With two decades of expertise in various leadership and clinical roles in the hospital and healthcare industry, Dr. Nayeem holds Fellowships from the Royal College of Emergency Medicine (F.R.C.E.M.) and the Faculty of Sports and Exercise Medicine (F.F.S.E.M.) Ireland. He received the UK national WOW award in the ‘Supporting Frontline Category’ in 2016 and was nominated for the UK Kent Surrey Sussex ‘Leadership and Innovation Award’ in 2017, showcasing his commitment to quality improvement.
With a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in
emergency medicine from the UK in 2013, Dr. Nayeem is licensed by the General Medical Council (GMC) in the UK and the Department of Health (DOH) in Abu Dhabi, UAE. His teaching role in advanced cardiac life support and advanced trauma life support courses reflects his dedication to education and training in emergency medicine.
Dr. Nayeem has previously held the roles of consultant and specialty lead in the emergency department at Ashford & St Peters NHS Trust, UK, before joining
SSMC. His academic contributions include publications in reputable journals, further demonstrating his commitment to advancing the field of
emergency medicine.
