With over a decade of experience as a consultant in one of Europe’s largest hospital trusts, he has been a pioneer in advancing robotic surgery for urological oncology.
Playing a key role in developing robotic-assisted surgical programmes in multiple hospitals, Dr. Abd El-Baky has lead initiatives that have resulted in over 1000 robotic-assisted procedures in just three years. As the Robotic and Pelvic Cancer Lead in his previous tenure, Dr. Abd El-Baky has been instrumental in optimising cancer treatment pathways and improving surgical efficiency.
Beyond surgery, Dr. Abd El-Baky is actively involved in medical education and research, holding an Honorary Associate Professor position at the University of Birmingham, UK. He has mentored medical students and led national clinical research studies in urological oncology and surgical innovation.
His postgraduate doctorate (M.D.) from Newcastle University, UK, focused on patient quality of life following radical bladder cancer surgery.
