Dr. Emad Eldin Fawzy, MB.Ch.B., is a consultant anaesthesiologist at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City (SSMC) in Abu Dhabi.

Possessing over a decade of experience, Dr. Fawzy specializes in a wide range of anaesthesia subspecialties, including regional anesthesia, airway difficulties and day surgery management.

Before relocating to the UAE, he served as a consultant anesthetist and clinical director for the day surgery unit at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in the UK. He completed an eight-year anaesthesia training program in the UK and two fellowships on day surgery, regional anaesthesia and difficult airway management.

Outside the operating room, he has a special interest in medical innovation. Dr. Fawzy holds multiple patents and has received several national and international awards for a groundbreaking regional anesthesia device called ‘SAFIRA: Safe Injection Regional Anaesthesia’.
