Dr. Mohammad Ilyas Bader, M.D., M.B.B.S., F.R.C.S. is a consultant pediatric urologist and general surgeon in the Pediatric Surgery and Urology Division at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City (SSMC) in Abu Dhabi.

Dr. Bader is a distinguished consultant pediatric urologist and pediatric surgeon with extensive experience spanning over 25 years. Trained in the UK with additional fellowships in Australia and Pakistan, Dr. Bader possesses a comprehensive skill set in diagnosing and treating pediatric urological and surgical conditions.    After completing his primary medical qualification from the University of Punjab, Pakistan, Dr. Bader pursued further training in the UK, obtaining his certificate of completion of training in pediatric surgery and urology in the West Midlands. He subsequently undertook prestigious fellowships at Melbourne Children’s Hospital, Great Ormond Street Hospital, and Evelina Children’s Hospital in London, among others. Throughout his career, Dr. Bader has held positions at renowned pediatric surgical centers, including Birmingham Children’s Hospital, Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, Southampton General Hospital, and Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS).   Dr. Bader held leadership roles at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust as the head of the department of pediatric surgery and urology, as well as various other responsibilities, including training program leadership, recruitment, and multidisciplinary team coordination. He has also been actively involved in teaching and training medical students and professionals, serving as an examiner for King’s College London and Oxford University medical students.
