With nearly a decade of surgical expertise, Dr. AlShaikh specialises in trauma and advanced minimally invasive surgery. He completed his surgical training at Rashid Hospital in Dubai and earned his Arab Board certification in General Surgery.

Prior to joining SSMC, he worked alongside world-renowned surgeons across various surgical subspecialties, further honing his skills. Dr. AlShaikh has also held faculty appointments at medical colleges in the UAE, reflecting his dedication to surgical education and academic excellence.

Known for his patient-centred approach, Dr. AlShaikh prioritises integrity and compassion in patient care, taking the time to address all patient concerns thoroughly. His areas of expertise include laparoscopy (keyhole surgery), management of trauma, emergency gastrointestinal conditions, gallbladder diseases, hernias (umbilical, inguinal, incisional), anal conditions, and chronic wound care.
