Dr. Nasir Alzbeidi, M.B.B.S., currently serves as chair of the mental health council at Sakina, Abu Dhabi Healthcare Company (SEHA), in Abu Dhabi. He is available for appointments at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Dr. Nasir Alzbeidi is an Emirati doctor specialising in geriatric psychiatry and cognitive neuropsychiatry. With training in general adult psychiatry, geriatric psychiatry, and cognitive neurology, Dr. Alzbeidi offers a comprehensive and unique blend of expertise to address a wide range of mental health and neurocognitive conditions.
After completing his training in geriatric psychiatry at the University of British Columbia, Canada, he pursued advanced training in cognitive neurology and neuropsychiatry at McGill University and the Montreal Neurological Institute, also in Canada. Dr. Alzbeidi currently serves as the chair of the mental health council at Abu Dhabi Healthcare Company (SEHA), a faculty member in the Psychiatry Residency Programme at Sakina in Abu Dhabi, and clinical lead at SSMC’s Memory Clinic.
With expertise in general adult psychiatry, geriatric psychiatry, and cognitive neurology, Dr. Alzbeidi is deeply committed to improving the mental health of both younger and older populations. His clinical interests focus on dementia, mood disorders, anxiety, and neurocognitive conditions. He is particularly passionate about raising awareness on the stigma surrounding dementia and advocating for early diagnosis.
