With more than 14 years of distinguished experience, Dr. AlDhaheri is a leading expert in clinical genetics, genomic medicine, and metabolic disorders. Her career blends advanced clinical practice with academic excellence, shaped by rigorous training across the UAE, the US, and beyond. She has been instrumental in advancing genetic healthcare through her roles at College of Medicine (UAE University) and Tawam Hospital.
Dr. AlDhaheri earned her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Science (M.B.B.S.) from the College of Medicine and Health Sciences at UAE University. She completed her residency in paediatrics at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, DC, followed by a residency in clinical genetics and genomics at Johns Hopkins University. Her expertise deepened with fellowships in medical biochemical genetics at Baylor College of Medicine and through the Global Clinical Research Scholarship Program at Harvard Medical School.
A passionate educator, Dr. AlDhaheri has served as Program Director for the Clinical Genetics Fellowship at Tawam Hospital and contributes to medical education as a faculty member. Her research focuses on genomic medicine and inborn errors of metabolism, with notable publications in journals such as Journal of Inherited Metabolic Disease and American Journal of Medical Genetics. She has delivered numerous invited lectures and presentations on General Genetics, Neurogenetic and Metabolic disorders across the region.
