Mr. Mohammad Assi, BSc, DPT, is a Senior Physiotherapist at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City (SSMC) in Abu Dhabi.
Mr. Assi obtained his Bachelor of Science (BSc) in
Physiotherapy from Jordan University in 2008 and his Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) and Manual Osteopathy in 2020 from the National University Of Medical Sciences, Spain.
Mr. Assi started his career specializing in sports and musculoskeletal rehabilitation and then progressed into general physiotherapy roles at Dr. Sadeq Alkhalidi Center and Al Hikma Modern Hospital, Jordan, in 2010. Throughout his career, he has worked in hospitals, clinics, and sports clubs under the licenses of the Health Authority of Abu Dhabi (HAAD) and the Dubai Health Authority (DHA).
Following this, Mr. Assi became a physiotherapist for Baniyas Sports and Cultural Club in Abu Dhabi, the Chief Physiotherapist for the UAE National Volleyball and Basketball teams and an active member of the UAE Olympic and Sports Committee.
He joined the American Center for Psychiatry and Neurology (ACPN) in 2013, and in conjugation with Berlin Medical Neurological Rehabilitation, established home care services.
From 2016 to March 2020, he led a highly skilled rehabilitation team at the Canadian Medical & Rehabilitation Center, dealing with various types of cases and diseases. Before joining Burjeel Medical City as a Physiotherapy Manager for Rehabilitation Outpatient Services, he worked on a project for Al Reem Hospital for post-Covid rehabilitation.
