Dr. Sheik Mehboob Hussain, M.Ch., MBBS, FRCS, is a Consultant Orthopedic and Trauma Surgeon and the Acting Chair of the Division of Orthopedics at SSMC.
Dr. Hussain is an exceptional medical professional who has devoted over 26 years of his life to orthopedic surgery. He is a Consultant Orthopedic and Trauma Surgeon with a wealth of experience and knowledge in his field. Dr. Hussain’s academic achievements include obtaining his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree from Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore, India, and a Master of Surgery (M.Ch.) from the University of Dundee, Scotland, UK. __SPLIT__
Dr. Hussain worked as a Consultant Orthopedic and Trauma Surgeon at Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, Glasgow, and Aberdeen University Hospital, Aberdeen, UK before joining SSMC. A fellow of The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and The Royal College of Surgeons of Glasgow, Dr. Hussain’s passion and dedication to his profession have been evident throughout his career.
Apart from his medical practice, he is actively involved in education and continues to inspire and guide the next generation of medical professionals. His contributions to the advancement of his field have made him a respected and admired figure in the medical community.
Care of the Critically Ill Surgical Patient (CCrISP) is a two-day, interactive course, which includes mandatory, pre-course e-learning. It covers the practical skills and knowledge that health care professionals need to effectively care for surgical patients, including those who are deteriorating or at risk of doing so.
