Abu Dhabi, UAE, 20 April 2024:
Recognizing their contributions and inspirational efforts in service of UAE society, the 11th edition of the Abu Dhabi Awards was held on Friday, April 19, 2024, with eight honorees receiving the accolades, presented by UAE President, H.H. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Included as one of the recipients of the award was Dr. Ahmed Osman Shatila, consultant neurologist at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City, who was recognised for his dedication, service, and altruism, as well as his pivotal role in establishing SSMC’s Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Clinic.

It was further noted that Dr. Shatila has not only shown consistent dedication to sharing and practicing his medical expertise with his peers, but he has made it his life mission to assist sufferers in the community with the condition. MS can affect people of any age, with approximately 2,000 people in the UAE currently affected.
The Abu Dhabi Awards aim to serve as a source of inspiration, motivating all members of the community to perform acts of goodness and make their own positive contributions to society.
