Join us for the 2nd SSMC Burns Center of Excellence International Symposium on Saturday 31st October 2026, to be held at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City (SSMC), Abu Dhabi.
As advances in burn care continue to improve survival and outcomes, there is an increasing need to ensure that these gains are achieved through practices that are clinically effective, economically viable, environmentally responsible, and socially equitable. This Symposium combines concepts from around the world to achieve excellence in burn care, raise awareness of the unique needs of burn patients, explore innovative and practical approaches to delivering high-quality burn care while optimising the use of resources and build collaboration in the UAE and region.
Our theme ‘Sustainable Burn Care’ and will provide a platform for clinicians to share their knowledge in the field whilst providing an opportunity for healthcare professionals to learn more about burns in the region, the sustainability of burn care in the region and network with other burn providers. Whether you are a seasoned professional in the field of burns or new to the field, this event offers something for everyone and is structured to be of interest to all multidisciplinary professionals. In recognition of the Year of the Family, this symposium also hopes to highlight the essential role families play in prevention, recovery, rehabilitation, and long-term wellbeing following a burn injury.
