First-of-its-kind in Abu Dhabi, this continuing medical education (CME) event is an ideal platform to discuss the latest updates in pathology, often dubbed as “a hidden science” that plays a key role in the patient’s management and care. Each month, the journal club meeting will feature experts from SSMC, Mayo Clinic, and other institutions. The target audience includes pathologists, scientists, and health care professionals, in addition to learners from residents to fellows, and nursing and allied health staff. Discussion topics focus on surgical pathology and include the latest advances and updates in the field and the management of complex cases at SSMC, in line with the organizational mission and vision.
Care of the Critically Ill Surgical Patient (CCrISP) is a two-day, interactive course, which includes mandatory, pre-course e-learning. It covers the practical skills and knowledge that health care professionals need to effectively care for surgical patients, including those who are deteriorating or at risk of doing so.
