Dr. Aydah Alawadhi, M.B.B.S., is a Consultant Medical Oncologist at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City (SSMC) in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

As a highly skilled oncologist with nine years of experience and extensive training from prestigious institutions, Dr. Alawadhi provides expert care in treating all types of oncology cases, with expertise in breast cancer and sarcoma. She is committed to delivering compassionate and personalised treatment to improve patient outcomes and quality of life.

Dr. Alawadhi graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.B.S.) from the United Arab Emirates University College of Medicine and Health Sciences in 2012. She completed her Internal Medicine residency at Saint Vincent Hospital affiliated with the University of Massachusetts in 2016. She then pursued a fellowship in Haematology and Medical Oncology at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, graduating in 2019.

Through her career, Dr. Alawadhi has received multiple awards, including the “Women in Oncology of the Year” from the Emirates Oncology Society – EOS (2022), and the “Healthcare Research Excellence Award” from Pure Health (2023). Dr. Aydah has also been published in many research articles and book chapters, in the field of Medical Oncology.

Dr. Alawadhi is currently the scientific chairperson of EOS, and Chairperson of the Breast Cancer Working Group, under EOS. Additionally, she is a renowned multiple award-winner in areas of both research and patient experience.
