On behalf of the Scientific and Organizing Committees, it is our great honor and pleasure to welcome you to the 4th Complex Care at SSMC: A Case-Based Approach, taking place on November 22, 2025, at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City (SSMC), Abu Dhabi, UAE, in a hybrid format (in-person and virtual).
Now in its fourth successful edition, this annual conference has established itself as a distinguished platform for advancing knowledge and expertise in complex care, uniting healthcare professionals, thought leaders, and innovators from across disciplines. The event continues to expand in scope and impact, reflecting SSMC’s enduring commitment to trusted quality, service excellence, and academic leadership in the UAE and beyond.
This premier event will highlight the SSMC Model of Care, which emphasizes integrated, team-based, and patient-centered approaches for individuals of all ages with complex and serious medical conditions. Through carefully selected case studies in neonatal and pediatric medicine, internal medicine, maternal and women’s health, and surgical care, the program will demonstrate how multidisciplinary collaboration, innovation, and advanced technology are transforming outcomes and setting new standards in healthcare delivery.

Care of the Critically Ill Surgical Patient (CCrISP) is a two-day, interactive course, which includes mandatory, pre-course e-learning. It covers the practical skills and knowledge that health care professionals need to effectively care for surgical patients, including those who are deteriorating or at risk of doing so.
