Dr. Omara is a cardiology specialist with more than 15 years of experience in clinical cardiology and patient care. He obtained his M.B.B.Ch. with honours from Ain Shams University in 2009. He continued his fellowship training in the Egyptian Fellowship in Cardiology Programme at Nasser Institute Hospital for five years and received the fellowship degree in 2019. He then completed his training in the Egyptian Fellowship in Interventional Cardiology at Nasser Institute Hospital. He also holds a Master’s Degree in Cardiovascular Medicine from Menoufia University.
Dr. Ahmed has extensive expertise in cardiology outpatient clinics, inpatient services, coronary care units (CCU), and emergency cardiology, with vast experience in managing both acute and chronic cardiac conditions. He is particularly skilled in caring for patients with ischemic heart disease, heart failure, and various arrhythmias, as well as in performing echocardiography, ECG interpretation, Holter monitoring, exercise testing, and pre-operative cardiac assessment, ensuring thorough evaluation and follow-up for his patients.
Before joining Egypt’s major tertiary centres, Dr. Ahmed gained valuable experience at Cardiotech Cardiology & Cardiac Cath Unit and Zaitoun Specialised Hospital in Cairo. He has since worked at the Nasser Institute Hospital for more than 15 years and at Wadi El-Neel Hospital for over ten years, both of which are leading tertiary referral centres in Egypt, where he continues to provide advanced cardiology services. He is also a member of both the Egyptian and European Society of Cardiology.
