Dear Colleagues,
On behalf of the scientific and organizing committees, it is our honor and pleasure to welcome you to the
2nd Annual Complex Care at SSMC in Partnership with Mayo Clinic: A Case-Based Approach.
The conference will offer a hybrid format (live and
livestream) and will be held on Nov. 12, 2022 at SSMC, Abu Dhabi, UAE.
We are excited for this state-of-the-art event designed to provide an in-depth overview of the SSMC Model of
Care that focuses on integrated, team-based and
patient-centered care for patients of all ages with serious and complex medical needs. This conference
highlights examples of our destination medical center in
action with dedicated sessions on neonatal and pediatric medicine, internal medicine, maternal and women’s
health, and surgical care. Cases will demonstrate how the
multidisciplinary approach at SSMC coupled with technological advances and innovation is optimizing the care
we provide.
The conference will offer opportunities to explore breakthroughs in clinical practice, share creative and
stimulating ideas, make valuable connections, and obtain
inspired perspectives from all members of the multidisciplinary course faculty. As an academic medical
center in the UAE, cases will also highlight key aspects for
broader opportunities in education and research. The conference will also serve as a springboard for
collaboration and is integral to the SSMC culture that aspires
to integrate, connect, learn and deliver to achieve service excellence and deliver trusted quality.
The scientific committee has developed an exciting one-day program that will feature SSMC faculty and
faculty from our parent organization, Mayo Clinic. A variety
of presentation formats will be used including in-depth case discussions and “rapid-fire” formats. In
addition, the conference will include two keynote
presentations that highlight the state-of-the-art care that is being provided every day at SSMC.
This unique event will provide outstanding opportunities for networking as well as innovative learning
experiences. Attendees will get to learn about best practices
in the field from experts at SSMC and Mayo Clinic. We hope this unique learning opportunity will help you
gain perspectives that will expand your knowledge and
motivate you to improve and enhance the care you deliver to your patients on a daily basis.
We wish you a very productive and successful conference.
