The colorectal surgery at SSMC provides personalized, evidence-based and
up-to-date management of benign and malignant diseases of the colon and rectum. As part
of our comprehensive approach, we develop individualized treatment plans for each
patient, incorporating all of the necessary advanced treatment options, minimally
invasive procedures and diagnostic tools, including imaging and endoscopy. In order to
provide a comprehensive treatment plan, we collaborate closely with other specialties,
including gastroenterology, medical oncology, radiology and specialized nurses.

Care of the Critically Ill Surgical Patient (CCrISP) is a two-day, interactive course, which includes mandatory, pre-course e-learning. It covers the practical skills and knowledge that health care professionals need to effectively care for surgical patients, including those who are deteriorating or at risk of doing so.
