With 12 years of clinical and leadership experience, Dr. Alshorman provides advanced care for newborns and premature infants in high-acuity neonatal intensive care units. His expertise spans complex neonatal resuscitation, respiratory and nutritional support, surgical neonatal care, and long-term developmental follow-up. Beyond his clinical role, Dr. Alshorman also served as the part-time Medical Director of Marketing & Communication at SSMC, where he led initiatives that bridge medicine and public awareness – creating campaigns that emphasise trust, safety, and compassionate care for mothers and newborns. Dr. Alshorman has a special interest in neonatal intensive care innovation and patient safety, AI and predictive analytics in child protection, maternal and newborn wellness programs, paediatric longevity and preventive health, as well as healthcare communication and marketing strategy. A board-certified paediatrician with advanced training in neonatology, Dr. Alshorman has contributed to international health efforts with Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), helping establish neonatal care programmes in underserved regions. He also champions child safety and early risk detection programmes, and has pioneered frameworks that connect early childhood health to lifelong wellbeing.
