With 21 years of experience, Dr. Noorbhai is a consultant general, trauma, and laparoscopic surgeon, specialising in trauma, general and laparoscopic, oncological, and endocrine surgery.
He completed his medical degree from the University of Witwatersrand, South Africa, which included an elective at Glasglow University, Scotland, UK. He also completed his internship and community service in South Africa, followed by two years as a Surgical Medical Officer, gaining extensive practical experience.
Dr. Noorbhai has been actively involved in teaching at King Edward Hospital and the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN), South Africa, supervised Master of Medicine (M.Med.) projects, and served on the UKZN Bioethics Research Ethics Committee.
Demonstrating his commitment to ongoing development, Dr. Noorbhai completed his M.Med. in Surgery, with his research focusing on 1,000 trauma patients. He further enhances his expertise through regular attendance at IRCAD specialist training courses covering a range of surgical fields.
