Dr. Salma Elkhabier, M.B.B.S., is a general pediatric consultant at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City (SSMC) in Abu Dhabi. Dr Elkhabier is a senior American board-certified pediatrician with over 13 years of experience as a consultant pediatrician and over 2 decades of General Pediatric care. She is an expert in inpatient, outpatient, and high-dependency care with a special interest in asthma management, autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, childhood obesity, and caring for children with complex medical needs.

Dr. Salma Elkhabier obtained her medical degree from Khartoum University in Sudan and completed her pediatric residency at Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta Georgia, USA. She then worked as a consultant pediatrician before moving to Abu Dhabi.

She is a passionate educator and currently serves as the Pediatric Clerkship Director for Khalifa University as well as a core faculty for the pediatric residency program. She is a regional and international speaker for multiple Pediatric conferences for which she received multiple awards and a DOH examiner for pediatric consultants.
