Throughout his career, he has effectively managed critically ill patients with a wide range of conditions, including sepsis, cardiovascular, respiratory, neurology, and post-operative cases, as well as renal, hepatic, bone marrow transplant, and oncology patients. He is highly skilled in both non-invasive and invasive ventilation techniques, including the use of the high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC), and is proficient in handling difficult intubations using modern equipment.

Well-versed in safety guidelines, Dr. Almatrooshi has extensive experience with ultrasound-guided procedures such as central venous catheter insertion, pleural and ascitic fluid tapping, and emergency ultrasound studies for unstable patients. He also has expertise in haemodynamic monitoring and has managed patients requiring haemodialysis, continuous renal replacement therapy (CCRT), and extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO), having actively cared for critically ill patients during both the H1N1 pandemic and the recent COVID-19 outbreaks.
