Dr. Kanika Khanna is an associate administrator at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City (SSMC), bringing with her a distinguished record of success over 20 years establishing best-in-class healthcare services that enabled Johns Hopkins Medicine, The Cleveland Clinic Foundation in the US and Tawam Hospital in UAE to achieve continued competitive growth. At SSMC, Kanika leads the clinical operations of the Emergency Department and the Department of Medicine including Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Neurology, Rheumatology, Endocrinology and Gastroenterology. She also leads the clinical operations of Radiology, the Cancer Service line including Haematology, Oncology and Radiation Oncology and the Allied Health Services. Kanika also provides the administrative oversight of the Research Department at SSMC.
Care of the Critically Ill Surgical Patient (CCrISP) is a two-day, interactive course, which includes mandatory, pre-course e-learning. It covers the practical skills and knowledge that health care professionals need to effectively care for surgical patients, including those who are deteriorating or at risk of doing so.
