A graduate of Alexandria University, Dr. Rayan possesses 20 years of extensive experience in both clinical and academic settings. He completed his residency in neurosurgery at Alexandria University’s main campus hospitals and subsequently undertook a clinical fellowship in cerebrovascular surgery at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) and a skull base/complex cranial surgery fellowship at Mayo Clinic in the USA. Furthermore, he is part of the faculty and an associate professor of neurosurgery at Alexandria University’s Department of Neurosurgery.

Dr. Rayan is a member of numerous distinguished medical organisations, including the North American Skull Base Society (NASBS), the European Association of Neurological Surgery (EANS) and the Mayo Clinic Alumni Association, among others.
