With over a decade of experience, he performs procedures in the neurophysiology lab and serves patients in neurological clinics and inpatient settings. He received his training in neurology from the State University of New York, USA, and holds four American board certifications in neurology, vascular neurology, sleep medicine and neuroimaging.
Having served in numerous hospitals across the USA since 2004, his latest positions include being a lead consultant neurologist in Kentucky’s largest healthcare group. Additionally, Dr. Istalboli conducted basic research on VEGF expressions in eyes under low oxygenation conditions, which is relevant to the treatment of stroke and ischemic heart disease.
Furthermore, Dr. Istalboli has attended many international conferences, and workshops and has conducted lectures at worldwide conferences. His areas of special interest include the medical education of junior doctors, residents and students.
