How is the procedure performed?
Immunotherapy is performed through an intravenous infusion into the vein or injection under the skin. This can be done daily, weekly, monthly depending on the type and stage of cancer, the immunotherapy drug being used, and the patient’s response to treatment. The break between each session gives the patient’s body time to produce healthy cells.
