Dr. Omar is a European Board-certified surgeon in otolaryngology and head and neck surgery and has been a core member of the head and neck multidisciplinary team within SEHA since 2014. His undergraduate training was completed at Cairo University, Egypt, where he received his master’s degree in 2004. In addition to leading the surgical airway service at SSMC, Dr. Omar works within a collaborative team, specializing in treating cancers of the head and neck region, including laryngeal, throat, neck, mouth, jaw and facial cancers. Moreover, he is an expert in treating thyroid, parathyroid, and salivary disorders, as well as reconstructive surgery. Furthermore, he also provides expert endoscopic approaches to the nasal cavity, sinuses and anterior cranial fossa as part of the craniofacial team. A professor at the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh, Dr. Omar teaches head and neck surgery to medical and nursing students in the UAE.
