With over two decades of experience in the field of urology, Dr. Ibrahim’s subspecialist interest is in cancers of the kidney, bladder and prostate, as well as kidney stones and prostate diseases. After obtaining his primary medical degree from the University of Khartoum in 1996, he moved to the UK in 1999 where he completed his training in surgery and urology. In 2000, he was a visiting fellow at the Thomas E Starzl Transplant Institute and the trauma unit at the UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh, USA. He also undertook a fellowship in laparoscopy at the University Hospitals of Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust. He worked as a full-time consultant urologist at University Hospitals of Birmingham NHS Trust until 2019.
He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and the European Board of Urology. He is also a member of the British Association of Urological Surgeons, and a previous member of the European Association of Urology as well as the American Urological Association.
