Dr. Islam Khatab is an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Specialist in the Department of Critical Care Medicine at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City (SSMC) in Abu Dhabi.

With over 15 years of experience practicing critical care medicine, Dr. Khatab has taken an interest in Surgical critical care while specializing in the subspecialties of medical, surgical, and neurocritical intensive care, treating dangerously ill, and critically injured patients. Dr. Khatab received his MBChB degree from the University of Alexandria and went on to pursue a Master’s degree in critical care medicine. He also received the European Diploma of Intensive Care and underwent various training courses and workshops in Airway Management, Emergency Life Support, Trauma Life support, echocardiography, and much more.
