Dr. Monojit Choudhury, F.R.C.E.M., M.R.C.E.M., M.R.C.S., M.R.C.G.P., F.I.M.C., is an emergency department consultant at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City (SSMC) in Abu Dhabi.
Trained in the UK with a CCT in emergency medicine, pre-hospital emergency medicine, and general practice, he holds a Fellowship in
emergency medicine and immediate medical care from the UK. Along with membership at the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and the Royal College of General Practitioners, Dr. Choudhury also has licensure from the Medical Council of Canada.
Having worked as a consultant in the UK, he has contributed his service to UK Helicopter Emergency Medical Services (HEMS) and excels in high-quality critical care in the pre-hospital setting. In the UAE, he has served as a core faculty in the
emergency medicine residency program. As the Lead for
SSMC, he aids in implementing the training framework in the institution.
His expertise extends to developing and directing emergency ultrasound courses. Dr. Choudhury’s commitment to enhancing emergency medical care is evident in his various roles, spanning clinical practice, education, and leadership.
