With 16 years of clinical expertise in reconstructive microsurgery, particularly addressing traumatic lower limb injuries, Dr. Marsden performs a broad spectrum of general plastic surgery procedures.   A UK-trained surgeon, Dr. Marsden earned his medical degree and a B.Sc. in anatomy from Cardiff University, followed by surgical training rotations across South Wales. He served as a clinical research fellow at the National Institute for Social Care and Health Research (NISCHR), obtaining his research M.D. from Swansea University. Completing plastic surgery training at the esteemed Welsh Centre for Burns & Plastic Surgery, Dr. Marsden achieved fellowship status at the Royal College of Surgeons of England in Plastic Surgery (F.R.C.S Plast).   Dr. Marsden previously worked as a microsurgical reconstructive fellow in Melbourne, Australia, focusing on microsurgical reconstructive surgery, and later as a senior microsurgery fellow specializing in lower limb reconstruction in Bristol, UK.   His impactful contributions to the field are evident through numerous presentations at national and international conferences, invited speaker roles at reconstructive meetings, and a prolific publication record in peer-reviewed journals. Prior to his role at SSMC, Dr. Marsden served as a UK consultant plastic and reconstructive surgeon, specializing in microsurgical reconstruction.
