An expert in diagnosing and treating blood diseases, Dr. Mahir served as a Specialist in Internal Medicine at Burjeel Hospital of Advanced Surgery in Abu Dhabi before joining SSMC. He started his professional journey as a General Practitioner 18 years ago and has taken a keen interest in the treatment of aplastic anemia, pernicious anemia, and sickle cell disease.
Dr. Mahir graduated in 2003 from the faculty of medicine at the University of Khartoum in Sudan and gained membership in the Sudan Medical Council. In addition to this, he has been a member of the Royal College of Physicians, the UK, since 2016.
