Dr. Shalabh has over 15 years of specialist experience in neonatology. He obtained specialist neonatal registration in the UK, where he worked for nearly 20 years before relocating to the UAE in 2023. Following completion of his specialist training, Dr Garg was awarded the Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in Paediatrics (Neonatal Medicine) and subsequently worked as a Consultant Neonatologist for 10 years in a large tertiary-level neonatal unit in the North East of England. Dr Garg is a Member (since 2007) and Fellow (since 2015) of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, London. He was awarded the degree of Doctor of Medicine (MD) in Paediatrics in 2004 (University of Rajasthan, Jaipur, India), and a Postgraduate Certificate in Clinical Research in 2016 (University of Newcastle upon Tyne, UK). During his tenure as a Consultant Neonatologist in the UK, Dr Garg played a key role in service development and in improving the operational effectiveness of neonatal services. He is committed to delivering high-quality clinical care based on the best available evidence and current medical literature. He strongly values family-integrated and patient-centred care, recognising the importance of compassionate communication and parental involvement in achieving the best outcomes for sick and vulnerable newborns. Dr Garg is passionate about research and academic medicine. He has presented his work at numerous national and international conferences and has published widely in peer-reviewed medical journals.
