Date: 18 and 19 November 2026
Venue: Auditorium, Administration Building, Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City, Abu Dhabi, UAE
On behalf of the Education Division at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City (SSMC), we are delighted to welcome you to the 5th SSMC Education Week, to be held on 18 and 19 November 2026 at the SSMC Auditorium.
This year’s theme, Timeless: The Art of Education at SSMC Education Week, reflects our belief that great teaching is a craft that endures, one that adapts to new tools and technologies while holding fast to the enduring principles of mentorship, curiosity, and care. It captures our commitment to honouring the art of education even as the science of healthcare evolves. This mission drives every learning experience we design and deliver.
This year’s programme brings together clinical and education leaders from national, regional, and international institutions to explore how the timeless art of teaching can be preserved and reimagined, equipping our graduates and trainees to carry that craft forward into the future of healthcare.
We invite you to engage with the faculty through plenaries, panel discussions, workshops, and booth activities across SSMC’s five education centres: Graduate Medical Education, Medical Student Education, Nursing Education, Health Sciences Education, and Workforce and Professional Development.
As SSMC’s valued partners, your contributions to our learning environment carry a lasting impact on educational outcomes at SSMC and beyond. We hope this conference will be thought-provoking and serve as a platform for deeper collaboration. Whether you are a student, trainee, clinical leader, or educational leader, this conference is for you.
We look forward to your participation.
