Dr. Ahmad Al-Rifai, M.R.C.P., B.S.G., E.A.S.L., is a Hepatology and Gastroenterology consultant and the chair of the department of medicine at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City (SSMC) in Abu Dhabi.

With over 19 years of experience in gastroenterology and hepatology, Dr. Ahmad Al-Rifai is an experienced and published doctor with numerous papers on different areas of liver disease, IBD, and endoscopy. He is a member of the Royal College of Physicians of London, the British Society of Gastroenterology, and the European Association for the Study of Liver Disease.

A British-trained and certified gastroenterologist and hepatologist, he has worked in some of the most prominent university hospitals in the UK and Abu Dhabi.
