Dr. Amal Suhool is a fellowship-trained Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary (HPB) and General/Endocrine Surgeon with advanced expertise in minimally invasive and robotic surgery. She provides comprehensive, evidence-based care for liver, pancreas, gallbladder, and bile duct diseases, as well as complex gastrointestinal malignancies, soft-tissue sarcomas, and abdominal wall reconstruction and hernia surgery.
Her surgical approach combines state-of-the-art techniques including fluorescent indocyanine green (ICG) imaging for enhanced precision in liver and biliary surgery with meticulous attention to safety and a compassionate, patient-centred philosophy.
Dr. Suhool obtained her Medical Degree from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI) and is double board-certified in General Surgery and Gastrointestinal Surgery from the Université Paris-Sorbonne (France). She completed two prestigious surgical fellowships in Endocrine and Pancreatic Surgery from France and a Fellowship in Minimally Invasive Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary (HPB) Surgery from the University Hospital Southampton. Dr. Suhool holds a postgraduate Master’s degree in Leadership and Management from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI).
Dr. Suhool is a published author of the European Guidelines on Minimally Invasive Liver Surgery, contributing to the advancement of safe and standardized international surgical practices. She is also an international speaker and invited faculty member at major HPB and surgical education conferences, where she lectures on minimally invasive liver and pancreatic surgery, surgical education, and mentorship.
An active member of the European–African Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association (E-AHPBA), Dr. Suhool plays an active role in promoting HPB education, collaboration, and early-career mentorship across the Gulf and broader international community.
