Dr. Amal Suhool, MD, MBBCh, is a Consultant in Hepatopancreaticobiliary and Endocrine Surgery at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City (SSMC) in Abu Dhabi.

Dr. Suhool has 15 years of experience performing hepato-pancreato-biliary (HPB) surgery, gastrointestinal surgery, and endocrine surgery. She has a special interest in minimally invasive surgery (Laparoscopic) for liver and pancreatic diseases.

After graduating from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, Dr. Suhool underwent her training in general surgery achieving double-board certification in General Surgery & Gastrointestinal Surgery at the University of Sorbonne, Paris. Afterwards, she completed two fellowships in both the fields of Endocrine and Hepatobiliary Surgery in France and Minimally Invasive Hepatopancreaticobiliary Surgery in the UK. During this time she worked at some of the most prestigious major HPB and transplant units in Europe.
