Dr. Haytham Mutasim Taha, FACP, FRCP (London), Arab Board (Medicine), CPHQ, CMQ, CPPS, CDIP, is an Internal Medicine Consultant and Associate Professor of Medicine at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City (SSMC, Abu Dhabi).
Dr. Haytham is Arab Board Certified in
Internal Medicine and has a Specialty Certificate in Acute Medicine from the Royal College of Physicians of the United Kingdom. He is both a Fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP) and a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of London (FRCP).
Dr. Haytham has over 27 years of experience in the fields of Internal Medicine and Acute Medicine. In addition to his full-time clinical duties, Dr. Haytham is actively involved in physician education and training, quality improvement and patient safety, clinical documentation improvement and infection control. Dr. Haytham is a Core Faculty of the Internal Medicine Residency Program in the Department of Medicine and has taken an active role in the supervision and training of residents, interns and medical students.
Dr. Haytham is the Department of
Medicine Quality Champion and Internal Medicine Quality Lead. He is a Certified Professional in Patient Safety (CPPS) from the Certification Board for Professionals in Patient Safety, Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) from the Quality Certification Commission, Certified in Medical Quality (CMQ) from the American Board of Medical Quality and Certified Documentation Improvement Practitioner (CDIP) from the American Health Information Management Association. Dr. Haytham received multiple Quality Improvement and Patient Safety awards and has multiple publications in the prestigious British Medical Journal BMJ Open Quality Journal.
