Dr. Alqahtani has over 15 years of experience in the pediatric endocrinology field. She has extensive expertise in performing endocrine dynamic testing for growth hormone deficiency, adrenal insufficiency, congenital adrenal hyperplasia, and precocious puberty. In addition, she manages inpatient diabetes, including diabetic ketoacidosis, ketonemia, and new-onset diabetes mellitus. With the supervision of a pediatric endocrinologist, she evaluates outpatients for diabetes, short stature, thyroid disease, pituitary hormone deficiencies, adrenal disease, and bone disease/fractures. As a consultant, Dr. Alqahtani served as a clinical supervisor for patients with short stature and low growth hormone levels, hypothyroidism, Grave’s disease, congenital adrenal hyperplasia, pituitary hormone deficiencies, central precocious puberty, delayed puberty and osteoporosis.
