Dr. Almarzooqi graduated from the Royal College of Surgeons of Ireland and completed fellowships in hepatology research, clinical gastroenterology, clinical hepatology and transplant hepatology from the University of Toronto. He has multiple publications in the field of hepatology and has delivered presentations at regional and international meetings.

Dr. Almarzooqi’s main fields of interest include liver disease and pre and post-liver transplant care. He is currently the director of the hepatology service and the programme director of the gastroenterology fellowship at SSMC.
