Dr. Latif specialises in the assessment and management of mental health, behavioural, and neurodevelopmental conditions in children, adolescents, and young adults. He brings more than 24 years of experience in child and adolescent psychiatry across the United Kingdom and the UAE. Prior to joining SSMC, he served as Clinical Lead for Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services at leading healthcare organisations in Abu Dhabi. He completed advanced specialist training through the South London and Maudsley training programme, affiliated with King’s College London, and has held senior clinical and leadership positions within the National Health Service (NHS) in the United Kingdom. His expertise includes attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), autism spectrum disorder (ASD), anxiety disorders, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), trauma-related conditions, behavioural disorders, and psychotic illnesses. Dr. Latif is committed to delivering evidence-based, family-centred care that promotes early intervention, improves wellbeing, and supports children and young people in achieving their full potential. His clinical approach emphasises accessibility, collaboration, and reducing stigma associated with mental health conditions.
