Dr. Babiker is a resourceful consultant infectious diseases physician with additional certification in medical virology and outstanding clinical, educational, research and leadership experience. He is a fellow of the Royal Colleges of Physicians of London and Edinburgh, a fellow of the Royal College of Pathologists, and an alumnus of the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, where he earned a master’s degree in public health and a diploma in tropical medicine. Dr. Babiker is the program director for the Infectious Diseases fellowship and chair of the Antimicrobial Stewardship program at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City in Abu Dhabi. Dr. Babiker aslo serves as an adjunct clinical professor at the College of Medicine and Health Sciences at Khalifa University in Abu Dhabi. Dr. Babiker’s main research interests are emerging and re-emerging infections, tropical medicine and migrants’ health, HIV, viral hepatitis, infections in immunocompromised individuals, antimicrobial stewardship and digital health.
