Dr. Alatoom is an American board-certified practitioner with 14 years of experience in clinical pathology, clinical microbiology and medical/public health microbiology. He finished extensive medical training at Jordan University of Science and Technology, the University of Texas Southwestern and Mayo Clinic, USA.

Furthermore, he is an adjunct associate professor at Khalifa University, Abu Dhabi, and has published more than 30 articles in American and international journals. His interests include the evaluation of new microbiology techniques, rapid diagnostics and diagnostic stewardship.
